The 2022 edition of BSC’s annual One Mile Race was run in gorgeous weather on 20 August.
‘The Mile’ is the Club’s oldest race – the men’s trophy dates from the 19th Century. And it’s a tough event – so it was gratifying to see a strong field, featuring members from across the Club, gather on the beach for the start.
After a close race, the men’s event was won by squad swimmer Leo Masserini, and the women’s by Masters swimmer Jess Caughtry.
Thanks, as ever, to the volunteers and helpers for organising the race, and well done to everyone who took part.
