Artistic Swimming

Brighton is one of the few Clubs in Sussex to offer Artistic Swimming - more commonly known as Synchro.

City of Brighton and Hove is one of the few Clubs in Sussex to offer Artistic Swimming – more commonly known as Synchro.

Anyone who thinks it is just swimming around in patterns is profoundly mistaken!

Have you ever tried performing underwater acrobatics, often upside down for up to 30 seconds at a time without a breath whilst keeping in exact formation with another 5 or 6 swimmers? Combining elements of dance, acrobatics as well as swimming, artistic swimming requires strength, stamina and coordination. If you don’t believe us – come and give it a go!

At Brighton, we want synchro to be fun and encourage participation and working as a team. We take part in one or two competitions a year, but we also put on sell-out shows every year as part of the Brighton Festival.

If you’re interested in knowing more, or would like to give it a try – fill out and enquiry form. Minimum age: 9 years.
