Well to Peter Tuffin and Paul Smith for completing one of the most iconic sea swims – across the Bosphorus Strait from Asia to Europe.
Organised by the Turkish Olympic Committee, once a year one of the World’s busiest shipping lanes is closed to all traffic to enable the swim. This year 2400 swimmers from around the globe took part – following in the wake of Lord Byron, who made the first recorded crossing in 1810.
As well as being a bucket list swim for both, the race also provided unique evidence that our Treasurer can swim without a ball!
